Questions

Common questions

Who do you work with?

I work with adults, with a particular focus on women. Many of the people I see are thoughtful, capable, and psychologically curious, and many have done therapy or personal-growth work before. Neither is a requirement.

Can therapy help if I already understand my patterns?

It may. Understanding a pattern and being able to respond differently are not always the same thing. Therapy can move beyond insight to explore what is underneath a pattern, process what still carries emotional weight, and create more choice in how you respond.

What might early sessions involve?

Early sessions may include a detailed intake exploring your current concerns, relationships, important life experiences, coping strategies, strengths, and previous therapy. Together, we identify an initial goal that feels meaningful and accessible.

How does EMDR fit into your approach?

EMDR may be incorporated when it is clinically appropriate and when you are ready for this type of work. It is one part of an integrative approach, alongside emotional processing, practical skills, and reflection on how the work shows up in daily life, and it can be done in person or virtually. Read more about my approach.

Where are sessions offered?

I offer in-person sessions in Newmarket / York Region and virtual sessions across Ontario.

How much does an individual session cost?

Individual sessions are $165 for a 50-minute session.

How do I request a consultation?

Use the request form on the contact page. Submitting the form is a request, not a confirmed appointment.
